Just a blip, since I don't have a camera on me while I'm dog-sitting at a family's friend's house, but if you can score a good used oem unit under $100 then it's worth it . I've seen miata.net discussions go back and forth whether I should or should not to avoid damaging the cover. So far it seems quieter now that there's something pinning the soft-top down and preventing it from rattling. The only issue I encountered was stretching it over the soft top since it's supposedly sat unused for months/years but the sunlight helped.

The seller wanted $130 but I was able to negotiate it down to $100 since he had already sold his Miata and just wanted to clear out stuff he had forgottenly left behind. Weren't they like $170-$200 new?
